The Designated Learning Institution (DLI) number is a unique identifier that the Ontario Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development has assigned to each post-secondary institution in Ontario. It is used by students, employers, and other organizations as an easy way to identify educational credentials earned at a DLI.
A DLI number is not an eligibility requirement for admission to an Ontario college or university, but it can make it easier for students to confirm their educational credentials when they apply for jobs or other opportunities.
DLI Update
While enrolled in a Canadian college or university with a valid study permit, an overseas student may switch their academic level, academic institution, and/or academic programme. Depending on the desired modification, they might need to inform the appropriate immigration authority, apply for a new study permit, or secure a study permit extension. Whatever your motivation for switching colleges may be, CW Immigration can assist you with the procedure.
