Post Graduate Work Permit

What is Post Graduate Work Permit ?

Canada Post Graduate Work Permit

The post-graduation work permit enables students to remain in Canada and continue their education while gaining work experience. However, graduates from accredited Canadian institutions are required. A work permit is available to graduates of specific authorised learning institutes (DLIS). A applicant has 180 days after receiving their final grades to submit an application for a PGWP. Additionally, watch out for your study permit expiring before you receive your final grades. PGWP enables foreign graduates of post-secondary colleges and universities that participate to earn Canadian work experience. Over time, PGWP-acquired Canadian job experience aids foreign graduates in becoming eligible for PR (permanent residency) in Canada through PNP/Express Entry.
